Get to Know Mike!
Our newest CSR who (literally) wrote the book on the power of positivity.
How long have you worked at Balance Point? I’m one of Balance Point’s newest customer service representatives. I started in May of 2021.
What’s your impression of Balance Point as a new employee? One thing that has stood out is everyone’s willingness to help each other out, and encouragement to ask questions. There hasn’t been a moment when I felt like I was being ignored or misguided. As someone new to the company, it makes the transition seamless.
What brought you to Balance Point? My Alma Mater, Ramapo College, was hosting a virtual career fair where dozens of companies were conducting interviews. As students, we were encouraged to scope out the companies and mark ones of interest to reach out to. When I was reading Balance Point’s mission statement, I felt like it would be a perfect fit.
What’s your favorite part of your job? It’s always satisfying to resolve a client’s question and hear them express their thanks for your help. That definitely never gets old.
What traits do you possess that make you successful at your job? Anyone that knows me knows I like to connect with other people and help them out. It’s hard to be a customer service rep if you don’t like people or helping people. Being personable and reliable are the two biggest keys, in my experience at least, when it comes to providing great customer service.
When you’re not working, where can we find you? When I’m not working, I’m usually at the gym, or spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy writing. In fact, during the pandemic I wrote a memoir based on me and my family’s battle with a rare genetic health condition. I hope to write more in the future in my spare time.
What would you want our clients to know about you? I’m a very patient and friendly person, so there should never be any hesitation to call me with as many questions as you have!
