Get to Know Pam!

Here are the highlights from an interview with Balance Point fan-favorite, Pamela French.

What is your role at Balance Point?

I’m a Customer Service Representative, or CSR for short. Once a client has successfully transitioned to our platform and has been fully trained, they are assigned a dedicated CSR. I’m one of many here at Balance Point.

How long have you worked at Balance Point?

I’ll celebrate my 5-year anniversary in February of 2022.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Developing relationships with my clients. I am responsible for a manageable group of clients—this allows me to get to know them very well.

I talk to my clients about their kids, the sports they play, how they are handling the pandemic. I know when and where they are going on vacation. I’ve become so friendly with one client that she and I joke how we’d grab a drink together if it wasn’t for COVID.

What problems do you solve for clients?

Clients call with questions from how to add a new employee on payroll to how to set up a time clock. Lately I’ve been assisting clients with running reports for the PPP Loans and Loan Forgiveness. With all that they’ve gone through since the start of the pandemic, my clients are so grateful to have me alleviate some of that stress. 

What traits do you possess that make you successful at your job?

I am a good multitasker, which is helpful since I’m often juggling the needs of several clients at the same time.

I’m also a good communicator. I do my best to solve everything that is thrown my way. If I can’t help, I find the right person who can and continually keep the client in the loop until their problem is resolved.

How has it been transitioning to working remotely?

I miss the socialization in the office, but I find that I get more work done at home. We’re lucky to have access to the best technology and resources that allow us to serve our clients without missing a step. Having the flexibility to work from home with a new baby has provided me with a better work-life balance.

When you’re not working, where can we find you?

I’m either in the kitchen cooking or walking around town with my baby!

We recently received some good feedback from one of our clients about you “Pam has always been an expert professional. An excellent experience each time.” How does that make you feel?

I truly strive to provide the best service to my clients. I am happy to know that I am doing my part to help clients pay their employees and grow their business.
